Our community takes great pride in standing on its own two feet. Pulling ourselves up by the bootstraps. Standing tall as rugged individuals. Yet, when there’s an opportunity to be the best, this community pulls together to achieve more than others. It’s what makes Mukwonago a great place to live. Funding provided by the Education Foundation plays a role in keeping it that way.
Our mission shines brightest through success.

Our mission shines brightest through success.
The School to Work House is a perfect example. The Education Foundation annually contributes 25 percent of its annual fundraising to the School to Work House. Students build an actual home each year. This public-private partnership delivers real-life, hands-on experience that would be impossible for the school district to fund on its own.
Not long ago, the Education Foundation invested in a few Smart Boards for classrooms. These technology-enabled white boards allowed the school district to test-drive the effectiveness of Smart Boards—before investing tax payer funds district wide. The Smart Board program succeeded. Risk to taxpayers was reduced through initial investments made by the Education Foundation. View Student Stories.
Our Impact
The Mukwonago Education Foundation funds new ideas and student opportunities—unfunded by the school district—that would otherwise go unrealized.
From skilled trades to technology and much more, the Education Foundation funds academic experiences aligned with our mission. That mission exposes students to learning opportunities otherwise unfunded by the school district.
More than 95% of donor contributions directly fund new ideas to impact student achievement in our school district. Contributions are tax deductible. Fiscal responsibility and effective use of funds drive every decision. Grant requests are considered twice annually. And these grants fill gaps where school district funding falls short or risk seems too great.
